Creese

As a mixed media statuary artist, Creese (b. Brooklyn, NY, 1991) resides in Paris, France, drawing inspiration from the vibrant cultural landscape of the city. Specializing in pushing the boundaries of
conventional sculpting techniques, infusing creations with unconventional materials onto canvas,
exploring the intersection of form, texture, and concept.

Creese’s work serves as a catalyst for contemplation, inviting viewers to explore beyond the surface and question the norms that govern our perceptions. Inspired by the complexities of the human experience, he strives to evoke a sense of curiosity and introspection, encouraging observers to explore the depths of their own thoughts and emotions.

In the process of creation, solace and liberation are found. Time seems to dissipate as immersion in the
tactile experience of molding and shaping occurs, allowing intuition to guide the evolution of each piece. Within the silence of concentration, freedom is found to explore the depths of thoughts, drawing from personal experiences, memories, and observations to infuse art with authenticity and depth.

Influenced by a diverse array of artists and movements, ranging from Damien Hirst, George Baselitz,
Giacometti & Brancusi to artistic movements such as Dadaism to Modernism, his work reflects a
synthesis of various artistic traditions and philosophies. Whether exploring themes of human emotion or
experimenting with new materials and techniques, there is a constant drive to push the boundaries of
craft and challenge creatively.

This artistic journey has been shaped by the power of art to provide refuge and expression, and the
human capacity to find beauty and meaning even in the midst of adversity. These experiences have not
only shaped his artistic practice but have also deepened his understanding of the power of art to connect, inspire, and provoke meaningful dialogue. As Creese continues to evolve as an artist, his
aspirations are rooted in a commitment to authenticity and a desire to create work that resonates with audiences on a visceral level.
